The Fabulous World of Jules Verne (Czech: Vynález zkázy, literally "A Deadly Invention") is a 1958 Czechoslovak adventure film directed by Karel Zeman, based on Jules Verne's 1896 novel Facing the Flag. It has also been released under the novel's title.
The film is a ground-breaking work in the genre of stop motion animation photography. It relies heavily on animated special effects and has a visual style similar to the original illustrations of Verne's book.
